What would happen if a few people weren’t dragging the rest of us down?

The Careless, Uninformed, Glib & Damaging Dissemination of Disinformation – Rita C. Article

A Facebook “friend” who claimed to be a journalist wrote an article about the Russian War in Ukraine with so little credibility, journalistic standards, and Russian disinformation that I felt I had to respond to at least some of the disinformation. See Rita’s “article” Rita C. Article  (The Yellow Highlights are the excerpts we addressed in the video, but most of the article is wrong).

NATO EXPANSIONISM MYTH

You can also see a video that dismantles one of the other popular russian myths she puts forth in the article that NATO “expansionism” is the cause of the conflict with this video

CORRUPTION – WHO’S CORRUPT RITA?

Rita referenced President Zelenskyy’s supposed corruption many times, which has been repeatedly debunked, as you can see HERE.

It’s funny that she never mentions Putin’s gluttonous life or corruption, which one can see in a video that the Russian Opposition leader Alex Navalny made famous, which ultimately cost him his life.

RUSSIA STARTS WARS

And you can see a History of Russian Agression

I keep Rita’s full identity private, as I do not wish to embarrass her. However, people must understand that falsely repeating and amplifying Russian disinformation online does actual, real damage in the real world, sometimes costing lives, as in Ukraine’s case. Russian disinformation is so ubiquitous in the US and on social media that many have no idea that what they are reading is emanating at the behest of Moscow in a profound and effective Psy ops operation that has infiltrated U.S. society and members of our own government. It is essential to speak out against it and debunk the disinformation.

There are some truths sprinkled into this article, but not many. Most Russian disinformation is better disguised with a few big lies sprinkled amongst the truth. Rita is likely an unknowing perpetrator, simply posting her misguided, error-ridden inaccuracies and blatant lies as some journalistic opinion piece after swallowing third-hand Russian disinformation passed along by un-credible media sources in the U.S. This is meant to be instructive on how Russian disinformation works and how prevalent it is in U.S. society.
