What would happen if a few people weren’t dragging the rest of us down?

Roku Endangers Democracy

1/6/23 – On this particular dark day in recent US history comes an apt article from Dan Frankel of NextTV that illustrates that Jan. 6, 2021, was a long time coming, and the fallout is still being felt. I am reminded of that old adage – “You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts” – And the fact is, Roku Inc. should be ashamed of giving a platform to such shadowy, disinformation-spewing, conspiracy content “creators” who prey on credulous and weak-minded U.S. viewers. Then again, ANYTHING for a buck has been my experience with the entire digital-first video content aggregation space. But selling out fundamental journalistic integrity and fact-based democratic ideals at a time when so many men, women, and children (Ukrainians) are suffering and dying at the hands of the brutal totalitarian state actors (Russia) fueling this type of loonier-than-loony madness in this country? That’s some first-rate, greedy, selfish, scumbag stuff, even for the OTT Space.

Here’s a link to the article. Worth a read.
